Ruvik Milkis, co-founder and CGO of the Israeli organization Finest Export explained the reason for the termination of the club. This post was posted on Twitter:
“Today is a very sad day for me. If you’re reading this before you read Finest’s official Twitter statement, I’ll recap it for you: Finest is shutting down operations and esports teams. For me, this is the end of what started as a personal side business and has grown into the leading esports organization in Israel, paving the way for even more important results.
Finest was and always will be my first creation. I embraced my passion for the game and wanted to share it with the community by taking the best esports players to the highest competitive levels. What a trip it was. Endless days turned into nights of continuous work, thoughts, ideas and creations. Added to this were many problems. The challenge of educating the industry that esports is a “real” activity was probably the most difficult, and with it, the real challenge was attracting and retaining new and existing investors and sponsors.
However, we were unable to overcome the latter and came to the end of what Finest was originally intended to be. Having said that, I would like to inform you all that I am also leaving the company.
I want to thank you all for supporting Finest, because without our fans we wouldn’t get through the day. I would like to thank all the great players and creators. Without you, we wouldn’t exist, boys and girls.
I’m sure we’ll meet again. Personally, I hold my head high and look forward to new and exciting opportunities, knowing that as long as I have enthusiasm, I can thrive.”
