What, did I survive? This February was really something unreal, I do not remember a month that would be so full of powerful games – including one that will probably far surpass this month and even this year in importance. It all started with the fun mind blowing RPG Dying Light 2, continued with the breathtaking splendor and once again excellent story of Horizon Forbidden West, culminating in the expected idol of all Soulsborne fans called Elden Ring, which surpassed even the wildest fantasies of the most optimistic. While some commentators rely on “outdated graphics” instead of playing, my colleagues and I are regularly amazed at the incredible beauty and design that is definitely one of the best in the fantasy game genre. Time and time again we remember Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings and Wet Workshop/Digital because we haven’t seen anything so artistically mature in a long time.
But it looks like we won’t get enough sleep in March either, because he also prepares a lot of interesting games for us of all stripes and sizes. Personally, of course, I’m most looking forward to Ghostwire: Tokyo as a real otaku, but I’m also looking forward to a big data disc for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla or the supposedly very nicely improved latest sequel to the Atelier series (which has been “overwhelming” me since March). I have no doubt that fans will also be very pleased with other major March games such as Gran Turismo 7 or Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Unfortunately, while the real world around us is worried about war after the pandemic, video games and computer games remain the most effective form of escapism.

For many, February was full of explosions, in my case too. At the beginning, I did a review of the interesting kung fu fighter Sifu, who very pleasantly surprised me with his uncompromising complexity, which was not clearly outrageous, but definitely required the player to carefully study both the controls and the movements of the enemies. Besides kung fu itself is great! Subsequently, I switched to the expected western version of the MMORPG Lost Ark, which clearly fascinated me, and in the first week I left a “non-Christian” amount of time in it (and many hours in lines). And I would have continued to play fun and enthusiastic, but the calls for work started again, so I had to throw myself into a vast new RPG from my favorites from Piranha Bytes. You can read the review today (and even listen) when I was fascinated at the very beginning, but then the title became one of the most painful disappointments. But to correct my tastes, I threw myself at the award-winning Elden Ring. I’m at the beginning, but I’m already having a lot of fun, although basically nothing new and it’s more of a huge and extensive expansion for Dark Souls 3 (note – I’ll take this statement back in a few hours). Only the PC version is decent Mordor.
The outlook for March is also very interesting. I’m definitely curious about Babylon’s Fall, the demo of which didn’t convince me too much, but I strongly trust the developers at Platinum Games (after all, I really liked all their games). But what draws me the most is GhostWire: Tokyo, which has probably all the ingredients I love, and I really hope I don’t get disappointed here. There are not many such mysterious things. Well, for example, the fox tunic, which I have been following since the very beginning, is also very attractive to me, because foxes and games, it just goes hand in hand!

While February is the shortest month of the year, it has been the busiest month in years in terms of gaming. And I played it a lot too. I first completed the Final Fantasy VII remake, which was my first installment in the series. So I really enjoyed the gameplay, I found the story interesting, but I had a problem with the dialogue which I found very poorly written. Of course, a certain Japanese style speaks for itself in some way, but in Final Fantasy it seemed so extreme to me that it spoiled the whole impression. But when I’m done, I can’t say I’m leaving disappointed, and I’m definitely looking forward to starting the next part of this intense series.
I’ve also embarked on Cadence of Hyrule, a nice mix of Zelda and Crypt of the Necrodancer, and prepared for the new Horizon through The Frozen Wilds expansion. At the moment I have Forbidden West and I hope to share my impressions in the next review. Otherwise, I continued the Gears of War series, where I managed to finish the spin-off Judgment and the quartet, which quickly became my favorite work so far. There’s a lot of new stuff in the series that makes me happy. Finally, I’ll just mention that I also played the CrossFireX shooter campaign, which I’m definitely not thrilled with, and you can hear my more detailed impressions on the Zing podcast.
So February was strong, but March will definitely not be left behind. For me personally, it’s even busier. Most of all, I’m looking forward to the return of the strategy series The Settlers, the action-adventure GhostWire: Tokyo from the creators of The Evil Within, and finally the platformer Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Unfortunately, due to what has been happening in recent days, my game has taken a backseat, because in such a situation, I find it a little inappropriate to play games. We can only hope that the conflict ends as soon as possible. If you want to help financially affected by the war, then a few days ago we wrote about Polish developers from the 11 bit studio, who send all proceeds from This War of Mine to help the Ukrainian Red Cross. However, other teams around the world are gradually being added.

In February, I dealt mainly with a couple of titles. At the beginning of the month, I spent many hours playing Dying Light 2 for review. Despite the not very likable and memorable characters, conflicting boss fights and stealth, I was pleased with the result and the average technical side. I especially liked the elaboration of the city and the fun parkour and combat system.
On the contrary, the end of the month marked the release of Gran Turisma 7, which we received in advance, so I will be able to give you a review on March 2nd. Until then, however, I shouldn’t even offer. Anyway, I’ve spent a lot of time behind the wheel in recent days.
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find time for Horizon Forbidden West or Elden Ring yet, which I’d like to fix during March. After the GT7 overhaul, I would also like to see a couple more great racing games in the form of Grid Legends and Assetto Corsa Competizione in the version for the new consoles. From the March game offer, he will also be interested in following the reaction to the action of Shadow Warrior 3 and the next generation version of GTA 5.

When I was thinking over the results of the February experiment, I was struck by one phrase. “February White, publishers get stronger!” because otherwise I can’t explain the flood of titles that went on sale in the shortest month of the year. And what can we expect in March. At the same time, more printed manga in Czech (accidentally the second Akira or Jujutsu Kaisen) or Warhammer 40,000: Marneus Calgar entered our market in February. And I’m looking forward to SAO next month. But as I immersed myself more in the game, I don’t have many reader marks, but I highly recommend Deadpool and his sets.
But you’re probably more interested in what’s been played here this week. My daughter and I rehearsed “Brain vs Daughter” at the Big Brain Academy. The brain, but the main word had two names. You have already read about JRPG Monark and, I confess, some melodies are still spinning in my brain. However, at the present time I am witnessing a military conflict, in which, first of all, it is about salt and iron. I have to say that a lot of the games you get reviews for are funny because you really like them, because you have to write an opinion, or you have a very good relationship with the publishers and you don’t want to disappoint them. . However, this single player strategy managed to get me on display after a long time that although I was slowly scoring around 10pm there was time for “one more time” and all of a sudden it was at half past one in the night and fatigue was nowhere to be seen . I think you have something to look forward to.
