Do you want to know all the confirmed maps of Overwatch 2? If you are eagerly awaiting the Overwatch 2 release date, you may have missed the new confirmed maps for the FPS game. Overwatch 2 also brings back many maps from the previous game, some of which have been reworked to give them a different feel, as well as all new heroes from Overwatch 2 and updated 5v5 gameplay.
These cards are available in different modes: Control, Hybrid, Escort and Push. In the new Push mode, teams battle for the robot at a key location, and the team that pushes the robot as far as possible into enemy territory wins the game.
So far, we’ve been able to test a total of six new maps in Overwatch 2, but more are expected to join the game soon, including New York, Rome, Toronto, Monte Carlo, India, Rio de Janeiro, and Gothenburg. So here are all the Overwatch 2 cards you’ll find and what you can expect from each one.
New Overwatch 2 Maps:
- Midtown, New York
- Colosseum, Rome
- New Queen Street, Toronto
- Royal Road, Monte Carlo
- Paradise, Rio de Janeiro
- Hope, Lisbon
Midtown, New York
Midtown, New York is available in hybrid mode: routes pass through Midtown Station and below, as well as the famous Grand Central Station. The streets are filled with police cars and yellow cabs, and the map includes a pizzeria restaurant, a convenience store, a laundromat, several cafes and home goods stores, a fancy hotel, and construction sites. The main attraction is the fire station, where you must escort the fire truck through Midtown to win.
Colosseum, Rome
The Colosseum Rome map is available in the new Push mode and, in addition to the picturesque cobblestone streets of Rome, you can also fight in and around the Colosseum. It’s pretty closed off compared to other Overwatch 2 maps, with landscaped courtyards and small cafes, so expect gladiator-style combat and exquisite architecture.
New Queen Street, Toronto
The new Queen Street in Toronto is available in a new Push mode: you can explore the subway and Union Station or hit the snowy streets and do battle in one of the many trendy cafes or restaurants and bars, including underground at the cute Egg House . Or skip the train line to the Museum of Technology and Curling Center.
Royal Road, Monte Carlo
The Circuit Royal game, located in Monte Carlo, is available in escort mode. When the sun goes down, players can compete at a variety of poker tables and luxury hotels, with the F1 track on the map. Teams must escort the Turbotron race car through narrow paths to win.
Paradise, Rio de Janeiro
The Brazilian Paraiso map is a colorful hybrid map that challenges players to grab and then push a payload through the winding streets of Rio de Janeiro. Blizzard claims that this is their biggest map yet, and by far one of the most colorful on offer.
Hope, Lisbon
The Esperança card game in Lisbon, Portugal is a push card. There are long open streets with sniper range lines as well as many closed back streets in this beautiful city where players escort the robot pusher through its winding streets along the river.
These are all the new cards announced right now. Maps set in Gothenburg, Sweden, and India were teased during the previous cycle of Overwatch 2, but we haven’t had a chance to see them in action yet.
Also, most of the original Overwatch maps should return, with the exception of the Assault maps, as this mode was removed for the sequel. Many return maps now take place at different times of the day, and in some cases, certain buildings have been moved for balance.
Return of Overwatch 1 cards:
- blizzard world
- busan
- Golden
- Eichenwald
- Hollywood
- Ilios
- Junkerville
- king row
- Lijiang Tower
- Oasis
- Rialto
- highway 66
- Viewpoint: Gibralter
