For example, Liverpool’s full-back duo Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold will have no connection in the FIFA 22 system as they are on opposite sides of the pitch. That seems a bit of an oversight given that tough defenders have been a key part of Liverpool’s success in recent years.
FIFA 23 changed that. Robertson and Alexander-Arnold will have a positive impact on each other’s chemistry rating in FIFA 23, as full field representation is used instead. Players will have zero to three games played (removing the old 10 point system) marked with three diamonds on each FUT card. A handy panel on the left side of the FUT Tactics screen will give you an overview of each player’s chemical rating. No more yellow and red links that spoil your eyes.

Icons and Heroes will always have full chemistry if they play in the correct position. Both also provide an extra boost; Icons will count as two players for their nation and heroes will count as two players for their league.
