Wood Elves aren’t supposed to have that much fun, so there’s a good mod for Total War: Warhammer 3 that ate Climb the forests on the campaign map of the strategy game. Not only do you get thicker, lusher forests, but the mod also makes some of the more destructive factions leave behind burned and dead trees as they roam the area.
Mazisky’s Forest Campaign (Vanilla) is available on the Steam Workshop and brings several key changes to how forests work in Total War: Warhammer III. In general, there are a lot more trees on the map, so you get fuller, fluffier forests and fewer sparse or barren areas.
Chaos-related factions, including Beastmen, Norsk, and Chaos Warriors, will leave burnt dead trees behind after conquering territory, which is nice and thematic. In Chaos Wastes, you will find dead trees instead of the tall pine trees that are there by default. Pine trees have been replaced with vegetation specific to each type of God of Chaos and Corruption.
In Cathay you’ll see the pink blossoms of many other cherry trees, while the forests in the Vampire Count regions are darker, thicker and generally more ghostly.
