bonnie ross announced his farewell 343 IndustriesWhile Microsoft announced a complete restructuring of studio management, it’s still working on it Halo Infinite. While Ross attributes the decision to personal reasons, this is a real earthquake.
Bonnie Ross is one of the founders and historical president of 343 Industries. The farewell message posted on Twitter shows that the decision was very painful:
“While I hope to stay on Halo until the winter update arrives, I have to announce that I am leaving 343 to deal with a health issue in my family.
I’m incredibly proud of the work everyone at 343 Industries is doing with Halo Infinite, The Master Chief Collection, the Halo TV series and everything in between. It’s been an honor to work with the team for 15 years and be part of a universe I love.
Thanks to everyone in the Halo community for their support. Halo’s future is bright. I can’t wait for you to know what we have planned as a fan and smile with you at the Halo World Championships in October.”
Meanwhile, Microsoft has announced some changes at the top: the new head of the studio will be Pierre Hintze, while Bryan Koski will become the franchise’s GM. Elizabeth Van Wyck will run the company’s business in her place.
In short, this is a beautiful earthquake that will definitely affect Halo Infinite and the franchise in general.
