Terraria’s Labor of Love 1.4.4 update is just around the corner, and it already promises an almost unfathomable amount of quality-of-life improvements to one of PC’s greatest games. From a Terraria Void Bag rework that drastically increases inventory space to a tweak that wipes out Terraria’s corrupted jungle forever, developer Re-Logic has gone above and beyond to serve its players and has just announced another major addition.
According to YouTuber Terraria Khaios, the new debris the item will completely redefine your base building potential by giving players access to almost any background item without cluttering their inventory. If you’ve played Terraria, you’ll be familiar with the rocks, bushes, piles of bones, and more found in the environment. Some will drop items when destroyed with a pickaxe, while others can spawn mobs.
The Rubblemaker is a new item that can be purchased from the Goblin Master after entering Hard Mode by defeating the Wall of Flesh. With Rubblemaker installed, you can use the collected resources to create almost any of these background objects; You don’t need to collect them ahead of time or keep anything in your inventory, just the necessary materials, and you can quickly destroy them to reclaim their resources. . .
The type of debris and objects you can build is determined by the material you currently have selected: up to 27 different materials have their own selection.
