A player has found unused files in Elden Ring that may point to possible animals.
JesterPatches, known for sinking FromSoftware games, posted a message on Twitter saying they found unused icons in Elden Ring and what was once in production.
Everything you need to know about hidden files is here.
I went through the game files, came across a few icons, which convinced me that Bestaria was planned at some point.
There are 128 icons showing different NPCs. Each NPC displayed has 2 icons, one gray and the other solid, so it is impossible to find and collect them. pic.twitter.com/9b0Tj6ckm3

jester patches He discovered a series of images depicting enemies and NPCs in the Ring of Eldan, leading others to believe that Better was once planned. This feature will be an encyclopedia of enemies and creatures in the game. Apparently it showed information found as a result of war and defeat.
It seems that every image exists in two forms: dark and light. The dark version is much harder to spot, while the light version is much brighter. This tricked players into believing that the two different aspect ratios reflected finding a creature or enemy versus a stranger.
JesterPatches says the files contain “64 unique icons” and not “Home Authorities”. This means that Bestiar has just confirmed information about normal enemies defeated throughout the game.
Given that Elden Ring is such a massive game, it’s no surprise that players are still discovering all sorts of secrets and hacking content.
