Intel Unveils Intel Raptor Lake Lineup of Gaming Processors

Intel Raptor Lake is about to enter the best gaming processor scene, but the blue team accidentally revealed three K-series SKUs. The leak itself includes three full-line 13th-gen chips, along with specs. key and clock speed information.

I observe momomo_us, information about Intel Raptor Lake appeared briefly in one of the company’s “Choosing a CPU for Gaming” guides. The section detailing 13th-gen specs has since been replaced with examples of current-gen chips, but the tipper was able to get a snapshot before taking any action.

In a since-deleted segment, Intel lists the i5-13600K, i7-13700K, and i9-13900K processors as 12th-gen Alder Lake examples followed by conflicting 13th-gen markers. The section says that the chips will have 14, 16 and 24 cores respectively, with a clock speed of between 5.1 and 5.4 GHz.

It should be noted that the clock speeds mentioned in the leak are based on the maximum performance core clock, not the Turbo Boost clock limit. So Intel’s numbers don’t exactly match the Raptor Leak information provided by Igor’s Lab, which lists i9-13000K speeds of up to 5.8 GHz.

Rumors suggest Raptor Lake will burst onto the scene in October, entering the battlefield right after AMD’s Zen 4. While the gaming processor looks like a strong contender, early benchmarks for the Ryzen 9 7950X could give Intel some trouble. If chips like the i9-13000K can’t keep up with the red team’s offering, the company may need to rely on next-gen Meteor Lake processors to secure its place at the top.
