The new sandbox map for the Total War: Warhammer 3 Immortal Empires campaign is massive and filled with composite provinces to conquer and plunder. Now there’s a Total War 3 Immortal Empires mod that spices up this entire space with a massive list of specially crafted landmarks pulled straight from Warhammer lore. It also adds custom quest battles, items, and dilemmas, making it a must-have download for longtime fans of the strategy game’s rich universe.
Immortal Monuments, created by modder Heimdal, features around 150 new landmarks spread across a huge world map. There are 300 new monument-related effects: some add things similar to “regular” monuments, like faction-wide command buffs or registration discounts, while others are unique and will do things like summon coastal storms, open portals, or upgrade your armies. access to powerful spells.
Heimdahl did a lot of research for this mod, pulling the description and geographic information directly from official Warhammer lore. Open the Beard Tree info panel, for example, and you’ll see that it’s a strange holy place for greenskins, where the heads (and beards) of slain gnomes hang (this also gives +1 Waaagh reputation per turn and makes your greenskins more deadly against gnomes).
Heimdahl says that it won’t be possible to place custom waypoints until modding tools are available for Immortal Empires, but for now they can replace and modify existing waypoints. Most of the mod’s attractions will be implemented once the Mixu faction unlocker is released.
Head over to the Steam Workshop and click Subscribe if you want to check out Immortal Landmarks right now. Be careful though, if you’re using the Dead of the Orient mod, Immortal Landmarks seems incompatible at the moment. Heimdal says this is an issue that is being worked on and will hopefully be resolved soon.
