It seems like we see a new Genshin Impact leak every day, and the latest Genshin Impact version 3.1 leaks are getting a bit out of hand, showing off the content of the new update. This one offers a detailed look at the upcoming desert region of Sumeru, and specifically, we see various rooms inside one of Sumeru’s great desert temples over the course of a long game.
Several players are currently spending time in the 3.1 Closed Beta and sharing their experiences with us abroad. YouTuber Kira uploaded a video of them wandering inside a completely empty temple in the western desert region of Sumeru. We know where the desert will be on the current 3.0 map, and she’s calling us with the promise of revealing even more new secrets. We can’t get into that yet.
Kira uses both Yelan and Candice, a new Hydro character wielding a polearm, to navigate inside the temple. We don’t see any notable combat or gameplay abilities here other than Yelan’s elemental ability, as she allows her to move faster and easier thanks to a new change in how the alternate running mechanic works.
The clip is dedicated to research. There are no enemies in sight, indicating either that Kira defeated them all before re-entering the temple, or that they are playing on a private server where various aspects of the game can be controlled at will.
The interior of the temple appears to be Egyptian in style, as it is filled with statues, carvings, and murals that are instantly reminiscent of the pyramids and Egyptian burial practices. This shouldn’t surprise us given the design of characters like Cino and Candace.
If you want to know when these new characters will get their own posters, we’ve got you covered.
