Lou’s Lagoon is a self-proclaimed cozy open-world adventure game from independent studio Rokaplay. It’s a nice third-person case where you take over your uncle’s business after he goes missing. Similar to games like My Time at Portia and featuring a Stardew Valley-style gameplay loop, it blends the life game genre with open world adventure. Oh, did I mention there was a plane? Because it is also an airplane game.
If you’re like me, you grew up watching cartoons on Saturday mornings wanting to be a part of a prank that happened that week. My preference is TaleSpin, a rather bizarre spin-off of The Jungle Book dans lequel Baloo and his co-directors of a free service of hydravions, and even if it is not avait pas beaucoup de sens d’un point de vue canon , c ‘was glad.
You will be assigned the usual tasks related to the life simulator; Collect items, fish, harvest, and craft goods, but this time, instead of heading to the local market to sell your wares, you can hop on your seaplane and make connections over the many islands dotted around the world map.
Laguna Lou took more than a quick look at TaleSpin and made a game that, from the first images we have, looks like I would have loved it when I was 10 years old. Also let’s be completely honest, this sounds like something the old me would like too. I know who I am and that’s fine with me. If anyone knows of any Darkwing Duck mods for Arkham please email me.
There is currently no release date given for Lou’s Lagoon other than an unspecified 2023 on the Steam page. The indie news coming out of Gamescom is exciting and extensive: seven Humble Games are coming to Game Pass in the coming months, and there should be plenty to love. For added appeal and a little more farming, there’s also Ikonei Island, a game that takes inspiration from both Stardew Valley and Zelda.
