The first benchmark of the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X processor preceded the launch of the latest Team Red series of processors, and the results indicate that we can expect a significant increase in performance. Everything looks perfect for Zen 4 in the multi-core and single-core tests, but the latest improvement is the most impressive.
Hardware Leak Extreme Player has come up with an alleged AMD Ryzen 7700X CPU benchmark, in which the Zen 4 processor demonstrates its capabilities in Cinebench R20. The 4.5 GHz octa-core chip delivered excellent results with single-core and multi-core scores of 773 and 7701, respectively.
AMD’s Ryzen 7 7700X is far ahead of Team Red’s current best gaming processor, the Ryzen 9 5950X, by about 19% in single-core performance, according to benchmark data from Videocardz. Although the CPU lags behind the flagship chip in multi-core tests, it offers at least a 25-40% performance boost over its Ryzen 7 predecessors.
We can expect to hear about the AMD Ryzen 7000 series very soon, as the company will host a live stream early next week. However, it remains to be seen whether the new Zen 4 microarchitecture can stand up to Intel’s Raptor Lake processors, as both product lines are expected to launch later this year.
