Tower of Fantasy AFK farm players trying to earn rare items while sitting idle in the anime game are being chased by some of their fellow adventurers. Rival Genshin Impact was spectacularly successful, but has been dogged by Tower of Fantasy thieves since its release. Fortunately, developer Hotta Studio has now banned and publicly named and shamed Tower of Fantasy hackers and seems to be cracking down on these troublemakers.
Another slightly smarter way for players to try to circumvent the intended systems is to farm AFK, which involves finding ways to repeatedly kill enemies for rare drops, using passive effects that allow them to continue earning items while “away from keyboard” . One cheat in particular uses the Fantasy Tower character Zero, who can create floating orbs that float around him and damage nearby enemies. They can be used to stand next to an enemy spawn and just auto-kill mobs when they spawn.
Players who tried to get the Chaser Tower of Fantasy vehicle (think sci-fi hovering segway) were trying to get their hands on the particularly rare loot needed to craft the mount. This resulted in hordes of players standing in one place, effectively ganging up to pick off enemies as they spawn in hopes of obtaining a rare component.
However, some players have decided that these groups provide the perfect opportunity to do some trolling and disrupt farming groups in all sorts of creative ways. Reddit user mmLuanari shared a clip of the player throwing an explosive barrel into the middle of the group, sending the group flying in all directions. The distance they travel is probably quite devastating, although the effect is compounded by the fact that the farming location is on a high platform, meaning many of them are flung to the ground far below.
Other users have shared similar methods used elsewhere: One commenter says that when they tank Sobek, they provoke an underground enemy attack on a group of people waiting for the AFK to tag the world boss and claim a bounty for themselves with minimal effort. . A quick dodge later and the giant cyber-egyptian deity slams into all idle players, killing them in one hit. It sounds a bit harsh to us, but we think it’s a risk you take in the hope of getting something with minimal effort.
