Death Stranding is coming to Xbox PC Game Pass

Kojima’s post-apocalyptic adventure Death Stranding is heading to Game Pass for PC later this month.

Today, August 19, publisher 505 Games, in partnership with Kojima Productions, announced that Death Stranding has been postponed to Xbox Game Pass for PC. It will be an adventure game for the first time on the Xbox system. The game was previously released on PC in 2020.

The game stars The Walking Dead’s Normal Reedus as Sam Porter Bridges, the game’s protagonist, who travels across post-apocalyptic America, delivering goods to remote locations and connecting people through the Chiral Network. On his journey, Sam encounters deadly otherworldly creatures known as “IT” who block his path.

The PC Game Pass edition of Death Stranding also includes the following items which can be unlocked as you progress through the story:

• Chiral Gold / Omnireflector “Ludens Mask” lenses (color option)
• Gold and Silver Skeleton of Power
• Gold and silver off-road skeletons
• Gold and silver armor

Death Stranding will launch on PC Game Pass on Tuesday, August 23, 2022.

Players can visit the Xbox PC Game Pass store page to access the game when it releases. As of this writing, it’s unclear if Death Stranding will be coming to Xbox. The console versions of the game remain only on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
