Dead by Daylight Status Effects Guide

Dead by Daylight has multiple HUDs, including a status effect center at the top of the screen. The first thing to understand is the difference between yellow and red status effects. Red means something bad is happening to your character and yellow means something good.

The Undetectable status effect is a buff that only applies to the Assassin.

Assassins using Undetectable receive several stealth mechanics:

Removes Terror Ray
remove the red dot
Block their aura

Survivors who benefit from Blessed are currently within 24 yards of an active Boon Totem and benefit from its effects.

Sustainability

Survivors who have Stamina can resist assassin damage. Players who activate stamina and get hit will have the status effect broken.

The Blind status effect is a debuff that can be applied to both Survivors and Assassins.

Survivors affected by Bracken are unable to heal or recover from an injured state.

Active bonuses are destroyed.

Survivors affected by Cursed are now affected by an active Totem Hex.

Bonuses that activate the cursed.

deep wound

Deep Wound survivors have a new yellow health bar that degrades over time. If they don’t heal when the bar is empty, survivors are about to die.

Advantages that allow a deep cut.

tiredness

Bonuses that activate as depleted.

exposed

Survivors affected by exposure can be knocked down with a single hit.

Bonuses that trigger exposure.

bleeding

People with bleeding disorders will produce more blood and lose the healing process if they stop healing.

A boon that activates bleeding.

Player movement speed slowed.

Players cannot interact with generators, totems, chests, hooks, or other survivors.

Bonuses that activate those that are inactive.

Survivors take 25% longer to heal when maimed.

Survivors do not hear the terror ray, nor do they hear the heartbeat warning of the killer’s proximity.
