Two online stores, Cultura and ShopTo, have likely revealed what happened. release dates from Outcast 2: A New Beginning And SpongeBob SquarePants: Cosmic Concussion. The first will be released on March 28, 2023, and the second on January 24, 2023.
That was a mistake, let’s imagine it’s tied to the THQ Nordic event tonight where both games will be featured (we’re underestimating that at this point).
However, the fact that it comes from two different sources makes it clear that these are not placeholder dates. Of course, official confirmation is still missing, but let’s assume we can add both titles to the myriad of releases in early 2023 without fear of last-minute denials.
The reboot of Alone in the Dark should be presented at the same event, some footage of which has surfaced online. Again no official confirmation, but the finished material on the net is clear.
Outcast 2: A New Beginning is the sequel to a historical open-world action that has been remastered in recent years. Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake is instead a sequel to Battle for Bikini Bottom, whose remake was released in 2020.
