Witcher 3 devs’ new game looks like Destiny 2 with ninjas

Former CD Projekt developers who worked on The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 created a new studio and are working on an Unreal Engine 5 online game, and it is very similar to Destiny 2 or Warframe as a ninja game in feudal Japan.

The new Dark Passenger studio was founded by Jakub Ben and Marcin Michalski, who previously worked on The Witcher 3 and its expansions as part of the game’s art team, helping with the cinematic side of Cyberpunk 2077’s “Blood” and is currently developing a new online game. Game set in Japan.

Dark Passenger describes the game as a first-person stealth online multiplayer game with cooperative, PvP, and PvE elements, much like Destiny 2, based on Unreal Engine 5. Both cooperative and rivalry-oriented experiences. Players take control of a ninja assassin and team up with other players to battle other clans and search for mysterious items with “extraordinary power.”

The game will feature “Melee Entry” with weapons such as “katanas, short tanto and wakizashi blades, kusarigama chains, shurikens, kunai throwing knives” and more. While Dark Passenger describes the need to lay low, it also suggests that the focus will be on parkour. While the first-person combat is reminiscent of Shadow Warrior, it definitely feels like a cooperative Assassin’s Creed game.

Either way, the game seems far away, it doesn’t even have a name, but Dark Passenger is definitely a study to watch.

Somewhere in the world of former Witcher developers creating an intriguing original game, the creator of Seven: The Days Long Gone creates a “morally ambiguous” RPG. As for the world of The Witcher itself, The Witcher 4 is on the way, but we have no idea which of these games will release first.
