The undead have returned war zone and giving new meaning to a familiar map: Rebirth Island, Rebirth Island. Developed by Beenox, Rebirth of the Dead is a time-limited mode in Call of Duty: Warzone which allows Operators to become Zombies in a single match with up to 40 players in fours.
“As soon as we were asked to bring the unforgettable Zombie Royale game to Spawn Island, the whole team jumped on it with incredible enthusiasm and a lot of cool ideas,” said Marc-André Gagne, Beenox Senior Systems Designer. “Our number one priority was to keep what made the original mode good while adding some fundamental quality of life improvements and finding ways to make it a unique experience on Spawn Island.”
For those who remember the previous modes with Zombies per round in war zone will be familiar with this type of royal undead. But with the new Infestation mechanic and a few minor tweaks, including the removal of sudden fears, which should be good news for scared streamers, Rebirth of the Dead is set to be a crazy, fun, and challenging experience for all players.
Below is how to enjoy it:
Resurrection of the Dead – How to play

Rebirth of the Dead is a modified Mini Royale where up to 40 players can appear as a quartet (teams of up to four players).
In addition to investigating a haunted version of Rebirth Island shrouded in fog at dusk, Operators who die will be brought back to life as zombies.
Ah, but these Zombies aren’t your usual clumsy creatures! Player-controlled zombies have several survival tools:
Charged Jump: Close the distance or change your movement pattern with this quick reload skill. The longer you hold the Charged Jump command, the further and higher you will jump.
EMP Blast: Destroy enemy electronics, including equipment such as proximity mines, as well as vehicles and digital sights, and disable the HUD of all Operators within the blast radius.
Gas Grenade: Deal damage and disorient your enemies with a gas grenade that ejects poisonous particles in a small radius around you. Pairs well with EMP blast and in close combat.
Updated respawn mechanics: syringes, supply crates and finishing moves.

As with the previous Zombie Royale, eliminating Operators yields zombie syringes containing the antidote for their undead state.
The zombie needs four syringes to redistribute him as an Operator.
Created to revive the dead, Single Syringes can be found in Supply Crates, Medical Supplies, and Buy Stations.
Zombies can now open supply crates, respawn crates, and even doors, but they can’t break those heavy cube-shaped crates without the help of an operator.
Lost syringes will also be marked with obstacles – walls and other coverings – to make them easy to see even in poor visibility conditions.
Alternatively, the zombie will receive two syringes for killing a human operator. Or, if you land a finishing blow on this Operator, you will receive four syringes – in other words, automatic remobilization for humiliating hunts.
New Mechanic: Infection and Medicines

In addition to adding a new way for zombies to become human again, Beenox had three priorities for this new twist on the old Zombie Royale mode:
“First, we wanted to increase the interaction between Operators and Zombies on the same team,” Gagne explained. “Second, to increase the number of opportunities for players to return to the game. We wanted the party to last longer. And thirdly, we wanted to increase the number of active Zombies at the same time to create the feeling of being covered against a horde. The last two points inspired us to invent the infection mechanic.”
Infection brings a strong feeling of the final round against Zombies. war zoneas operators may have to fight dozens of newly respawned zombies to survive until the final circles form.
In Rise of the Dead, the player’s HUD turns on the infestation gauge. It fills up as zombies are killed. When it fills up, the Infection event starts.
At the beginning of the infection each Spectator – Zombies killed in combat will respawn. This gives “extra life after death” to players that may have been eliminated early in the game.
The other event during Rise of the Dead is the Medicines event. As the name suggests, this event drops medical supplies containing very rare syringes and equipment all over the map. Operators can open these crates for their zombified squad mates.
Apart from these differences, the rules of Rebirth of the Dead are similar to standard Mini Royale: the collapse of the circle awaits neither the Operators nor the Zombies, although the zombies manage to move through the gas, and the last surviving unit is defeated.
Top 5 Tips

one. Incapacitate, disorient and attack… As a zombie, using your abilities is the key to dealing with ranged operators. Activate an EMP blast to destroy nearby equipment. Then send a gas grenade to disorientate them… and try to land a finishing blow; you can even get a reward for hitting at least one in this mode.
two. hybrid power. If squad mates go over to the side of the zombies, they can still be useful in taking down enemy squads. For example, they can attack the enemy head-on while human players relax and hit from afar. And people can also open medical supplies that have spare syringes for their fellow undead.
3. Who seeks finds. Destroying Operators isn’t the only way to get Syringes – open Supply Crates that these careless people didn’t bother to check, and don’t forget to look for the red outlines of these crates through walls and lids.
four. Remember Contagion. This new mechanic could be a game changer, as a dozen or more Zombies can deal damage. Check the infection counter often to see when it’s nearly full; then prepare for a siege with field upgrades like a portable cover and traps like a proximity mine.
5. Award Winners. If you complete Rebirth of the Dead in human form, expect to receive an animated “Survivor” calling card. Keep playing and learning from previous attempts to unlock what can be a rarity across all accounts. war zone.
“We also knew that we needed to make some changes to the feel and feel of Rebirth Island to make it a zombie-worthy playground,” Gagne explains. “To that end, we created a new sequel to The Extraction and were excited to work with our friends at Raven to change the look of the island. Watch out – zombies can hide in thick fog!
