Amazon Prime is getting more and more expensive in the UK, so you can get a cheaper subscription while you can. The change will affect monthly and annual plans, but there is a way to avoid the increase by switching to the latter now.
Starting in September, your monthly Amazon Prime subscription will increase by £1, meaning you’ll need to pay £8.99 a month to get free delivery and access to Prime Video. The cost of an annual subscription will also drop from £79 to £95, so you’ll have to pay an extra £16 if you don’t renew your account soon.
Of course, if you sign up for Amazon Prime now, you can get the service at the original price. Choosing an annual subscription before the new pricing scheme comes into force means it will cost you around £6.58 per month, up from £7.91 previously.
Every penny counts when it comes to buying gaming PC parts, the best graphics cards don’t come cheap. While there’s not much we can do about the inflated prices of GPUs and other expensive components, beating the upcoming Amazon Prime membership price hike can help you get some cash back, and naturally you’ll save more with the free next day delivery.
Amazon Prime prices will increase in the UK from July 1, which is next Monday. So if you’re planning on paying for Amazon Prime for the foreseeable future, hurry up and get your annual subscription before then.
