Phasmophobia’s next update introduces customizable difficulty options and a brand new map, Kinetic Games announced on Steam News. There’s no set release date for custom difficulty options, but when it launches it will include a significant variety of settings to customize, from adjusting the speed of a ghost’s movement to slowing down and increasing sanity loss in a game. of ghosts You can even adjust the number of Cursed Domains that spawn during the hunt, or if the temptation to use them and condemn your team to death is too great, you can remove them altogether.
Each mod features rewarded multiplayer that scales based on how difficult or how easy you decide to hunt, so keep that in mind before you completely nerf a ghost.
Kinetic is adding three preset slots so you can save your preferred settings for easier use, and said it plans to add even more difficulty switches in the future.
Sunny Meadows, a scarier new hideout map, will also be available in the next update. It may be smaller than the current hideout, but its lack of space is made up for by several themed “zones”. Kinetic said the goal was to make Sunny Meadows feel abandoned and neglected, unlike the current Asylum map. Expect bookshelves, wheelchairs, and other furniture in the most unlikely places that interfere with your escape while hunting, but perhaps also provide new hiding places.
Sunny Meadows areas include a chapel and a large open courtyard with no hideout, and each has its own set of unique new assets. The courtyard is definitely not where you want to end up with an angry Deogen coming your way.
