The Jsaux Steam Deck Dock isn’t the only USB-C hub compatible with portable devices from Valve, but its design and features are specifically designed for portable powerhouse. It could even be said that the third-party accessory is a clone of the real one, the resemblance is unbelievable. Either way, the Jsaux docking station’s price and features make it a winning replacement, even though it comes with slightly different specs.
As a missing Valve accessory, the Jsaux Steam Deck transforms a sleek gaming PC into a desktop PC. It doubles as a kickstand, so you don’t have to create a makeshift seat for your device when it’s connected to a gaming monitor, mouse, and keyboard. If you own a Nintendo Switch, you’re already familiar with this portable hybrid setup, and this accessory offers the same level of versatility.
Again, there are plenty of USB-C hubs available to help you connect your Steam Deck to your TV or monitor. However, alternatives like Anker, Belkin, and Lenovo are designed for gaming laptops, meaning they technically lack physical “docking station” capabilities. By mimicking an official Valve accessory, Jsaux has created a better rival for the Steam Deck dock that has the upper hand.

In terms of build quality, the Jsaux Steam Deck feels solid and well made. Its aluminum construction helps add weight, and its rubber grip protects the deck from scratches (looking at you, Nintendo). However, you still need to be careful because the metal edges of the accessory can damage the screen if they come into contact.

Jsaux Steam Rig Features
If you’ve ever used a dock at work or at home, you already know what the Jsaux Steam Deck is trying to accomplish. Simply put, it’s a hub that enables portable devices to become desktop computers. This particular set of accessories includes an HDMI 2.0 port, two USB A connectors, an Ethernet connection, and a USB-C power port.
The set connects to the Steam Deck via the built-in USB-C cable that runs neatly through the back of the compatible controller. Mounting a rig in any medium will never suit the slippery nature of the Nintendo Switch, but mounting a Valve handheld on a Jsaux accessory removes much of the usual USB hub.
First of all, the Jsaux Steam Deck Dock’s USB-C cable is cut to size so you don’t have to manage extra cables at your desk. La Joya also takes advantage of the bridge’s roughness, as its size hides everything behind it. In fact, the only evidence of a docking station you’ll see from your gaming chair is the slim kickstand lip at the front.
However, I do have a complaint with Jsaux regarding his decision to put the dock’s ethernet port to the side. Although the width of the Steam Deck hides the connected cables, there is often something annoying about having an illegal cable separated from the rest of the rear connections. If you place the docking station on the left side of your desk, this won’t be a problem as you can still manage the cables under your desk. However, I would have preferred to have a USB port on the side rather than an Ethernet port, as this can be used to connect a PC controller.
Coming back to USB ports, the Jsaux Steam Deck only has two. Needless to say, the accessory would benefit from a few extras, especially since most setups include a gaming mouse, keyboard, gaming headset, and other extras. Sure, you can plug in a regular USB hub, but that means you’ll spend more money if you don’t have one.
Jsaux would need to add a few more ports, but you don’t have to worry about extracting everything. The accessory’s USB-C input supports 100W of power, more than enough to keep your Steam Deck charged and your gaming keyboard backlit. The docking station does not come with a power supply, but you can use a 45W Deck charger or choose a more powerful one.
Performance of the Jsaux steam bridge
Before we dive into the capabilities of the Jsaux Steam Deck, it’s worth remembering that it won’t increase the performance of a Valve handheld. In other words, you could theoretically connect a portable device to the best gaming monitor, but it won’t magically run games at 4K 60fps. If anything, you’ll have to turn the settings down a bit to play at 1080p, as the micromachine is designed to run games on the built-in 1280×800 display.
That doesn’t mean Steam Deck can’t function as a gaming desktop PC, as Jsaux Dock allows the device to run on a low-spec desktop. I’ve personally enjoyed playing Xbox 360-era games like Alice: Madness Returns on the big screen, and even Stray, the recently released indie cat, is perfectly playable.

It should be noted that SteamOS is a bit quirky when it comes to mouse and keyboard controls. Although switching to desktop mode fixes issues for some games, the gaming experience is not quite right. Valve is likely working on a fix for this issue as it has already fixed resolution scaling issues for beta users.

Ultimately, the biggest benefit of the dock is its existence, as it effectively plugs the hole left by Valve’s software.
