Ubisoft has canceled two unannounced games, as well as Splinter Cell VR and Ghost Recon Frontline.
The publisher clarified that four games in development by Ubisoft were canceled during a conversation with investors. Among the titles was Splinter Cell VR, which was announced in 2020 and is expected to be an all-new Splinter Cell game designed for virtual reality. There isn’t much information about the title since its announcement, as the game has been officially cancelled.
The same fate befell Ghost Recon Frontline. The game was supposed to be a Battle Royale spin-off for the Ghost Recon series and was announced last October. With over 100 players promised per game, the game never received a release date.
Update: Thanks for your patience. Our games have fixed connection issues. Good game !

Additionally, two unannounced Ubisoft projects were dropped. According to Ubisoft CFO Frederic Doggett, all four projects have been canceled to cut costs so the publisher can “focus even more on our greatest development opportunities.”
Ubisoft recently drew criticism from fans for its plans to end online service for a number of its legacy games, including Assassin’s Creed II, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, and Rayman Legends. The selected DLC will not be available for the affected games and in the case of Space Junkies the game will completely lose its functionality.
