FIFA 23 Icon List and Leaks

Do you want to know which players are on the FIFA 23 icon list? Exclusive to Ultimate Team, the icons are the greatest players to ever grace the sport. All Badges have four cards that are released throughout the game, each representing a different period of the player’s career. Ultimate Team has strict team building rules to prevent players from forming a team, but the icons have no restrictions and can easily fit into any team. No matter who you pair them with, as long as they are in the correct position, the icons will always have at least five chemical reactions.

EA is adding new players to FIFA 23 Icons this year and we hope that the same players from last year will also appear. There have been some great Icon card contenders who have retired in the last year or so, and there are a number of players from the ’80s, ’90s and ’00s who have yet to join the game. These are the players we think could feature on the FIFA 23 Icon roster later this year.

FIFA 23 Confirmed Badges

EA has yet to announce the new badges coming to FIFA 23. We know of the latest FIFA 23 heroes coming to the game, including Ricardo Carvalho, Park Ji-soon, and Yaya Toure.

This year, the heroes will receive a special version of their World Championship cards, representing a well-known performance in the tournament. These World Cup cards haven’t been confirmed for any of the icons in FIFA 23, but that might seem like a missed opportunity when you look at all the icons EA has to choose from.

FIFA 23 badge leak

Although the full version of FIFA may look completely different than its mobile counterpart, the two games are developed by separate teams at EA, which means they share some similarities. FIFA Online 4 uses the same licenses as FIFA 22, including individual icon images. The mobile version also gets new player updates much sooner than its big brother, including new badges that are yet to be confirmed for FIFA 23.

FIFA Online 4 added nine icons last year, two of which joined the FIFA 22 icon pack, suggesting that some of the icons added to the mobile game could be coming to FIFA 23 later this year. Famous FIFA Member, DonkTrading, posted the list on twitter icons that were added to FIFA Online 4 this year.

FIFA 22 added a record number of icons to a sports game, likely due to the addition of heroes, which introduced 19 new players to the game. It’s also worth taking a look at the icons added to the mobile game in 2021 to add to the list of potential cards:

  • gabriel batistuta
  • pike
  • sun ji park
  • jaap stam
  • cha bum-kun
  • Diego Forlan
  • wesley sneijer

There are plenty of players who decided to hang up their boots this season who could have been icons in FIFA 23. Based on recent heroes, the standards for becoming an icon seem to have risen a lot compared to previous years. Here are some of the retired players from 2021/2022 who are good enough for Icon status:

  • Carlos Tevez
  • Laurent Koscielny
