Firaxis and Virtuous released a new character trailer for Marvel’s Midnight Suns ahead of the game’s release in October, and this time it focuses on Spider-Man. Well, “all about” might be a bit of an exaggeration. The Spider-Man trailer was pretty short, but it did include some teasing glimpses of what we can expect from a combat-ready neighborhood mutant, as well as exciting examples of a new take on the game’s tactics.
The first part of the trailer offers a launch of sorts where Spider-Man uses moves that would fit Insomniac’s idea of a hero, flanking enemies or closing in on them before ending with a dramatic step.
The trailer then cuts to the most intriguing part titled Wall Crawler. Naturally, it’s an apt name given who we’re dealing with, but there’s really nothing to say in the trailer. Still, the perspective of verticality in a tactical game is always appealing, and we’re hoping that Spider-Man can equip himself with some useful movement abilities to suit his… suit of him.
The final segment calls it the Webber Demon and shows a brief glimpse of what PCGN’s Joe Robinson saw in the Marvel’s Midnight Suns preview: the heroes use the environment to overcome obstacles or, in this case, throw a heavy object at multiple enemies. and look stunning. . . cool in progress.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns shows great promise with a unique spin on strategy games and card battles, as well as a bold take on a formula that Firaxis has already perfected, and will continue to perfect, with XCOM, and we can’t wait to see how other heroes fit into this new scenario. , as much as.
