Braindead Broccoli, the creators of Fists of Rejection, today announced a release date for PC and Linux: August 10th.. After 2 years of development, the arcade-style game has gone gold and will be released on Steam for R$16.90.
Fists of Repudiation is a classic stop-motion animation game where players try to survive a fictional pandemic in a city full of crazy deniers. The game features 4 playable characters with unique unlockable moves, extremely detailed scenarios, and 4-player local co-op multiplayer.
Between April and May 2021, the project had over 1,200 supporters in its funding campaign through Catarse, raising over BRL 50,000. “In order for us to get to this point, all the support has been critical to us and we would like to thank you again for believing in us,” said Ulisses D’Avila, producer and programmer of Braindead Broccoli. “We were only able to reach the end of this journey thanks to the unwavering support of our fans. Thank you, guys!”
The game is also being developed for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and MacOS under an agreement with publisher QUByte, but no release date has been announced.
ABOUT THE GAME
Fists of Rejection is a satirical 2D beat’em up with classic arcade elements and a modern look.
The game tells the fictional story of a pandemic that has spread all over the world and is ignored by fanatics who do not believe the disease is real, forcing the 4 main characters, ordinary citizens adequately protected by gloves and masks, to fight these fanatics and resolve the situation with the power of their own fist.
