Players express their opinion about bots
Lost Ark had an issue with bots, and while it’s mostly a “on and off” issue, players don’t have it. Asmongold, the most popular and influential MMO on Twitch, has expressed its concerns to the public. In the thread, the content creator listed the current number of active Lost Ark players through the Steam Charts database and explained how the bots that farm Lost Ark gold in the game are ruining the experience for many.
We all know that bots are common in online games, especially MMOs, since there are resources in the game world that you can easily process automatically. In the case of Lost Ark, these bots began to block real players from entering the game.
Asmongold claims that every server in Lost Ark gets a queue and real players can no longer join the game because there are too many “bots”. Asmon recalled his experience when he tried to form groups to launch instances. After talking to people if they wanted to play with him, many of his viewers responded to him by saying they couldn’t get into the game due to the long server queues.
For the past few months, Lost Ark has had server bandwidth issues. With so many players and bots trying to log in, the number of servers can’t handle the traffic. There are so many “bots” in Lost Ark that they overload servers and even break the game due to an exploit that allows them to deal an infinite amount of damage. Many players were frustrated by the large number of bots and most of them felt that they should give up and look for another MMO.
Bots are mainly used to farm Lost Ark items, experience points, in-game currency and more, without the need for a real player to be behind them. This is an illegal practice that can damage the in-game economy. Imagine going to a hotspot to get materials for your gear and then finding bots everywhere and draining resources – who wouldn’t get mad? The problem with bots is so serious that players who have invested a lot of time and effort in Lost Ark for months are considering quitting the game.
