Players selected to participate in the alpha test will receive an email invitation. Additional alpha invites from Blizzard will be sent periodically throughout the test.
If you were selected to participate in the Alpha test, your Battle.net account will already be flagged for access.
Here’s how to start an alpha test for the first time, according to Blizzard:
- Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date
- Launch the Battle.net desktop app
- Select World of Warcraft from the list of games
- Select Dragonflight Alpha (listed in development) from the “Game Version” drop-down menu above the play button, then click “Install.”
- Let the installation complete, click “Play” and select any available test server
- Create a new test symbol (copy symbols are not currently available and will be released in future tests)
- Enter the game and check the content
Dragonflight will be the ninth expansion in the growing World of Warcraft franchise.
Dragonflight will update various systems, such as the UI and skill trees, upon boarding the Dragon Islands. This is in addition to the usual new regions, raids, and classes expected with every WoW expansion.
