Outriders Worldslayer Patch Adds More Places To Farm Legendary Gear

It didn’t take long for Outriders players to discover an exploit in the cooperative game’s first major expansion, Worldslayer. Developer People Can Fly says that “a large number of players” have used the exploit to go directly to the last referee in the Trial of Tarya Gratar dungeon and farm that boss multiple times. The latest patch for Outriders fixes this exploit, but it does so in a somewhat unexpected way.

Instead of closing a loophole that allows players to go directly to the final arbiter, the latest Outriders patch expands the farming options available in Tarja Gratar’s Trial. The update adds guaranteed legendary Apocalypse random number generators to the Cliffside Path, Daughter’s Sanctuary, and The Arboretum Trove areas, giving players more reasons to complete the full dungeon.

The drops are RNG, but will match the target loot option for each treasure, and according to the patch notes, treasures will also drop their target loot more often. Apocalypse Arbiter’s final legendary drop rate is reduced, but he will still have the “Legendary Choice” reward when defeated. The boss will also drop helmets less often, so you’ll have a better chance of getting a non-helmet piece of gear in this fight.

“Compared to previous versions where the number of Apocalypse Legendary items obtained by completing a challenge was at least six, in the new system, fully completing all pieces of a challenge will give the player a guaranteed minimum of nine items. legends of apocalypse the greater the chance that there will be a random number for the others,” says People Can Fly.

According to the study, the new system should not be too repetitive. “So the most effective way to farm legendary items is to move on to something much more fun and varied, rather than making players feel like they have to repeat the same fight over and over again if they don’t want to be. as efficient as possible.”

Fixing the exploit itself would take a long time to develop and possibly rewrite how Outriders handles game saves, at least during testing.

“The current exploit only exists because we specifically designed the retry system to be easy to use,” says People Can Fly. “We didn’t want players who need to take a break or whose internet connection momentarily fails to be penalized with lost replays or kicked out at the start of their trial.”

The patch also includes some tweaks to Technomancer armor sets to make them more effective for synergy with the Pax tree, and fixes some bugs, such as one that caused the Arbiter to die instantly when players used certain combinations of gear.
