Now developer Bungie has teamed up with Hasbro-owned toy brand Nerf to offer a 1:1 scale replica of the gun that will set you back $185 (about £154/€182). The blaster is an impressive piece at over three feet long and replicates the famous “wolf pack” cartridges with “the world’s first Nerf dart cartridges” that fire groups of three darts at the same time.
However, the limiting factor is not only the price. The model is only available from July 7 to July 21 as part of the early access pre-order window for players with the Bungie 30th Anniversary Content Pack who have already earned Gjallarhorn in-game before the window opens. . This means that if you don’t already have one, you’re out of luck, though Bungie says “remaining units will be available to everyone after the early access window.”
If that’s too dramatic a purchase for you, you’ll be pleased to hear that a matching Destiny 2 Exotic adornment with the appropriate Gjallarfoam branding will be available for in-game purchase at a later date separately from the Nerf copy. Of course, those who spend a lot of money will get the in-game equivalent for free, but other players will eventually be able to pick it up as well, as Bungie says the item is valued at 900 silver.
