Samurai is one of the simplest classes in Elden Ring, starting with the best collection of gear in the game. You won’t need to change much in this class’s starter kit, giving you will keep you focused on getting all the important stats and developing your samurai fantasies. Here’s how to increase samurai efficiency.

The Samurai enters the land with a great push at ease, but he also has a stat boost that extends to stamina, energy, strength, and intelligence. There are minor hits to Intelligence, Faith, and Secrets in return, but that shouldn’t matter much as this class is all about physical combat.
The most important stats for a samurai are agility for wounds, energy and stamina for HP, and stamina for charge. Even a few points on Mind won’t hurt you, as it will allow you to practice your martial arts more often.
An ideal samurai stat would look like this:
Energy: 40
Mastery: 50 (34 or both sides)
Spirit: 15
Intellect: 9
Stamina: 25
Strength: 12 (or more depending on weapon requirements)
Faith: 8
Hidden: 8
The samurai has the elemental base Uchigatan, one of the best dexterity-based weapons in the Ring of Eldan. This weapon can easily transport you from the start of the game to the end credits. It combines agility, bleeds enemies, can be used with one or both hands, and comes with a devastating built-in martial art called Unsheath which destroys enemy stamina.
If you’re trying to deepen the samurai aesthetic with another powerful dexterity weapon, consider the Nagaki. It looks like a bag surrounded by a drawstring. You can get it by killing Jurassic, the bloody finger hunter north of Murcott Cave, or by ending his quest. Also blocks Elenora’s Poleblade.
If you’re married to a samurai aesthetic, you’ll never change your stock armor. Nothing else in the game looks the same. Fortunately, this is not a big pain, because cane soil is as beneficial as it is beautiful. You won’t miss the chance to wear it throughout the game.
