The next tower defense game, ORX (release trailer), will be officially released on Steam and the Epic Games Store on August 30, 2022. Developed by johnbell and published by Critical Reflex, ORX combines popular tower defense mechanics, decks with board games such as like Carcassonne to create a truly unique experience.

ORX pits you against hordes of relentless enemies in a dark fantasy setting as you strive to grow your kingdom in a game that’s part tower defense and part deck building. Players can test ORX by playing the demo available until July 14th!

With over 300 cards to play, ORX invites strategists to sit down and try to build a prosperous kingdom against overwhelming odds. Build roads, fortify and gather troops to survive the attacks! You have to defeat 9 different clans, each of which has 7 types of enemies with different behaviors and attack styles. Players will need every card in their arsenal to consistently win.

The game was handcrafted to be an experience that evolves with the player – from an item system that affects both players, buildings and enemies, to an event system that offers players difficult choices and impacts gameplay, ORX is set to be a strategy game. unlike any other. Advance, conquer and save your strength against the next wave of enemies, all accompanied by an adaptive soundtrack created by Nicolas de Ferrand.
