Unfortunately, at the time of release, Hypercharge: Unboxed does not support cross-play.

According to Digital Cybercherries’ Hypercharge: Unboxed Nintendo Switch FAQ page, crossplay is “something we may implement in the future.”

Hypercharge: Unboxed has been on PC (via Steam) and Nintendo Switch since 2020, but it’s really started to pick up steam in recent months.

The main factor in its growth is that the development team is smaller, so it cannot scale as fast as a large AAA developer.

For example, Digital Cybercherries plans to port the game to PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S, in addition to crossplay, adding things like optional low-res 60 FPS mods and in-game voice chat. . At some point in the future.

Hypercharge: Unboxed currently features two modes that come with its signature suburban house setting.

Defense Mode challenges 1-4 players (online, split-screen, and via local co-op) to power and defend miniature armies with “diabolical” weapons.

Meanwhile, PvP mode is free for all up to eight players.
