The Division Resurgence announced for iOS and Android, closed alpha coming soon

Ubisoft announced Tom Clancy’s The Division ResurgenceThird-person shooter with RPG elements free to play for devices Android and iOS. The game will be linked to The Division 1 and 2, but will have an unpublished and standalone storyline. It is now possible to register for the Closed Alpha via the official website. The announcement was accompanied by a trailer, which you can see below.

According to the statement on the official website, The Division Resurgence has a Third Person Shooter RPG Free multiplayer for smartphones developed by Ubisoft in collaboration with other studios and partners from around the world. The game takes place in a completely original open world based on the Tom Clancy’s The Division universe. The campaign will be unrelated to The Division 1 and 2 and will feature entirely new stories, enemies and factions. The Division Resurgence is set in contemporary America after a crisis where a virus epidemic creates chaos and government collapse. Players will take on the role of a National Strategic Unit (SHADE) agent and will be tasked with restoring order, protecting civilians from hostile factions and helping them rebuild a better future.
