The first post-launch update for Diablo Immortal has been released, bringing with it a new Helliquary boss and an all-new battle pass. The new Diablo Immortal Battle Pass will be released on July 7 at 03:00 server time and includes several new reward chains, including one free and two paid ones. The first paid MMO Battle Pass, dubbed “Empowered,” includes all free rank rewards, the exclusive Empowered reward chain, and two new cosmetic items: the Bloodsworn weapon unlocked at tier 1 and the Bloodsworn love at tier 1. 40. Empowered Pass, which grants everything in the Empowered Pass plus the Bloodsworn avatar border, Portal cosmetics, and 10-rank auto-leveling.
The new Diablo Immortal Battle Pass is valid until August 4.
Blizzard’s patch of the first major update also includes Vitaat, though it technically appeared the week before the update dropped. Good luck trying to challenge Vitaat. Her recommended Battle Rating is 2000. If you’re hoping to challenge Vitaat on higher difficulty levels, you’ll need a Battle Rating of around 3500.
The new update also adds Diablo Immortal’s first timed event, the Hungering Moon Weekend Event. From July 15 to 18, players can complete challenges to earn Moonshards and exchange them for Blessings. Once you’ve collected seven boons, you can redeem them for a random reward, and Blizzard has teased that the moon might reward you with its favor, whatever that means.
Plus, there are the usual bug fixes and balance changes you’ve come to expect from live service patches, but that’s about it for the first Diablo Immortal update. Blizzard has once again emphasized that you can expect several more in the coming months, each adding new bosses, events, and more.
“We are committed to making Diablo Immortal a game where you can make friends by fighting alongside your opponents and enjoy the game for years to come,” Blizzard said in the update.
