Choosing a class in an MMORPG is a common but important decision. Classes, often determined by gameplay experience, affect your stats, abilities, and sometimes even the races and genders available in the character creator.
Lost Ark includes five different classes to choose from, each with their own specializations and abilities. Although each class has its own advantages and challenges, some players may be better suited to one than the other.
With that in mind, is it possible to change classes in Lost Ark if you think you’ve made the wrong choice?
Unlike some other popular MMOs around the world, Lost Ark locks your character into whatever class you choose. There is currently no way to change this without creating a new character.
While this may seem crude to some players, there is an item that raises the new character to level 50, which means you can enjoy end game content with your new character. The Powerpass can be obtained after completing the Ealyn’s Gift main quest.
You can use it on any character you choose from the main menu. Players must complete an adventure quest with their new character to receive an incentive.
Until Smilegate offers a way to switch classes more awkwardly, which might not happen, Powerpass is your best bet other than starting a new character from scratch.
