Arcade Paradise, the construction simulator where you build your own 90s arcade game, finally has a release date as developer Nosebleed Interactive announces that the game is coming to Steam on August 11.
And to commemorate the occasion, there’s a new trailer showcasing the daily toil of clothing as you try to save your precious pennies and unlock your arcade dreams.
You will not be alone. The King Wash, which you can turn into an arcade game with up to 35 different machines inspired by classic games, belongs to your father, voiced by the velvety Doug Cockle, better known as Geralt in CDPR’s The Witcher. From the perspective of a hunter, a wizard, and someone who knows how to use a stuffed unicorn, we’d say this is a good fit. As for the trading partner, that remains to be seen.
From what we’ve seen so far, the best part of Arcade Paradise is how it seems to lean into the whole endless summer aesthetic, the slacker. It’s not just empty nostalgia. There’s something really romantic about hanging out, playing games, taking big sips while trying to break your record. If you’ve seen Dazed and Confused or maybe Everybody Wants It, you’ll know what we’re talking about. Arcade Paradise looks like a good relaxing game, but coupled with very well thought out building and strategy mechanics.
There are some good jokes here too: there are very few really funny games, but creating a special mechanism to unlock the toilet or remove old gum from washing machines shows that Nosebleed is trying to find some fun humor. in a daily routine with no way out.
You can add Arcade Paradise to your Steam wishlist right now, or if you prefer to play on console, head over to the official store where you can pre-order the physical version, which also comes with a poster, sticker pack, and download. Game soundtrack code.
