Spotify extends RADAR initiative to podcasters

Spotify released today RADAR Podcasters, a version of the RADAR program designed to identify new voices around the world, as is the case with musical artists. at startup, RADAR Podcasters highlights 40 creators from around the world in countries where podcasting continues to grow: the US, Brazil, Spain, Italy, Colombia, India, France, Argentina, Chile, Japan, Australia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Each quarter, Spotify’s podcast editors in 15 participating markets will select 2-3 promising creators from among the millions of podcasters using Anchor, Spotify’s podcast creation platform. Once selected, selected creators will benefit from editorial and promotional opportunities on Spotify, such as a local RADAR Podcasters Brasil playlist highlighted in the global RADAR hub and a creator hub to provide visibility exactly where podcasts don’t, as well as social media marketing and support .
