Last year, unique active wallets linked to gaming tokens accounted for 49% of the blockchain industry.

To get an idea of ​​the potential of this market, the global gaming industry moved $175.8 billion in 2021, according to the latest consolidated and preliminary data from consulting firm Newzoo. More than US$200 billion is projected to move in 2023. In mobile games, this movement is valued by Newzoo at $90.7 billion in 2021, representing a 4.4% year-on-year growth. This represents more than half of the global gaming market, as the segment is less affected by the pandemic than PC and console games.

But here in Brazil, we need to push this market a bit so that this market grows and brands feel safe to invest in this universe and then pave the way for more professionalization in this market. The possibilities are huge. Imagine moving millions of dollars of digital assets if games with huge audiences like Fortnite and Free Fire, for example, adopt a crypto asset compensation model for players? Moreover, this environment is driving the development of other convergent technologies such as NFTs, virtual currencies, the metaverse, and web3.0, which can help create a range of opportunities for the economy and society as a whole.
