Tony Hawk had Pro Skater 3 and 4 remakes, but Tony Hawk explains the cancellation himself

Vicarious Visions, developers of 1 and 2, have merged with Blizzard at Activision’s decision.

Skateboarders will fondly remember Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2, remastered versions of the first two episodes of the saga. Vicarious Visions For Activision Blizzard. It was released (and subsequently developed) for PC and consoles in September 2020, but did you know that something similar will happen in the sequels?

In a conversation with Andy Gentile (former game designer) on Twitch, it was Tony Hawk himself. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 had plans to develop in the study. But Activision’s decision to integrate Vicarious Visions into Blizzard turned everything upside down.

Indirect integration into Blizzard ending plans“That was the plan; we were scheduled to have 3 and 4 by the launch day of 1 and 2. After Vicarious Visions took over, they started looking for other developers. and then it’s overClaiming that Activision was unaffected by any offers for more games in the series, explains the skater.

“He was trying to find someone to do Activision 3 and 4, but they just They didn’t trust anyone like the Vicarious, so they focused on other releases from other studios,” he says. “They didn’t like the response to what they were going to do with the Tony Hawk game. That was it”.

Tony Hawk concludes by saying that he wished plans would restart at some point, but right now it’s hard to imagine that’s coming anytime soon, and even more so with the signing of Vicarious Visions.
