Players deal with generator and killer speed changes in Dead by Daylight after the 6th anniversary show. Behavior has now released detailed notes on both of these changes, and they’re listed below, along with developer comments.
Hopefully these changes will result in more fighting games between Survivors and Killer and a better experience for everyone!
Develop the General Killer
“The average murder rate (how many people die on average in each trial) is a bit lower than we would like – there are emotional repercussions for many in the community.”
Reduced the time it takes to knock down walls and pallets by 10% (now increased from 2.6 to 2.34 seconds). Generators can also be hit 10% faster than before (was 1.8 seconds now, down from 2 seconds). Although these changes are possible. Small in appearance, the difference between hitting the Survivor and reaching the fin can be a fraction of a second.
“We then reduced the cooldown of large hits by 10% (now 2.7 seconds, before 3 seconds) and reduced the duration of survivor speed after firing by 10% (was now 1.8 seconds, 2 seconds). “As they advance, Survivors will gain slightly less distance after being hit, making it harder for them to travel long distances to a safe zone.”
“Finally, we switched to Bloodlust to build potency faster than before. In most chases, Bloodlust will not activate, although there are rare occasions when it may be needed. The buildup to long term often leaves the killer in a bad spot, even if they get shot at the end.We are adjusting Bloodlust levels to trigger after 15/25/35 seconds of chase, not after 15/ 30/45 seconds.
“As the initial level of Bloodlust has not changed, it will no longer be common in side quests. Given the overall improvements above, we expect Bloodlust to become even rarer beyond specific circumstances.
“While insignificant, these changes affect all Slayers and could have ramifications for the game. We’ll make sure we don’t miss anything.

generator speed
“Looking at the perks most commonly used by Killer, there is a very clear pattern: Any perk that prevents generators from producing electricity – Briefly slow down the benefits – There are supporters. Degenerate To intervene, pop weasel go, Scourge Hook: Pain ResonanceAnd Hexagon: Ruins There are several notable examples, and each is among the most popular perks.
“Many players believe that without these bonuses, generators are powered up too quickly, so we knew we had to look at generators before making any concessions. Slowdown bonuses should be an option, but not the only option to stay competitive.
” Jirvel: We increased the time it takes to run the generator from 80 to 90 seconds.
“Second: The generator hit will instantly remove 2.5% of max progress.
