Ubisoft has just announced the start of the Assassin’s Creed 15th Anniversary Celebration. This date is seen by the studio as an opportunity for the teams involved in the series to thank fans for their remarkable years of history and shared passion. So, over the next few months, players will discover surprises, collaborations, rewards, community activation, and more.
For this anniversary, Ubisoft is committed to giving players the best experience in the series, from the first Assassin’s Creed to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. To that end, the new celebration website is now live, with live streaming on Twitch and YouTube. The studios involved in the development of Assassin’s Creed are hoping that the community will take the opportunity to enjoy the content of the series and are already inviting everyone to a very special event coming up in September with news on the future of the franchise.
With unprecedented support for Year 2 of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, players are also getting access to new free content, including the return of festivals, the Mastery Challenge Set 2 and Armory, as well as new caves to explore and the Mystery of the Fallen Tombs to solve. Later in Q3, players will be able to take part in Odin’s rogue-lite-inspired journey set in the exciting Niflheim region as they discover The Forgotten Saga’s new game mode, which will offer an updated and free-to-play experience for all game users. At the end of the year, fans are in for another surprise as Assassin’s Creed teams will reveal the final episode of Eivor’s story in another free chapter.
Ubisoft is also taking advantage of the Assassin’s Creed 15th Anniversary Celebration to officially announce 60fps support for Assassin’s Creed Origins on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation®5. From now on, players can rediscover Ancient Egypt during the reign of Cleopatra at 60 frames per second and enjoy the adventures of Bayek to the fullest. To celebrate this update, there will be a free in-game weekend from June 16th to 20th. Interested players can even preload it from today on this site.
Five years ago, the idea of Ubisoft teams to make historical facts more accessible to a wide audience brought three chapters of the Discovery Tour series to life. To facilitate access to tutorials, Ubisoft says that Discovery Tour: Viking Age is now available as a standalone game on both consoles and PC.
Finally, every week a game in this series will receive new content with rewards and interactive features for all users. For starters, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla already has several Assassin’s Creed Origins Tattoo Packs and a Naval Pack available. For more information on the Assassin’s Creed franchise, click here.
