EA and Respawn Entertainment announced today that Apex Legends Mobile’s Season 1 Cold Wave update is available to players in all regions where the game is available. Less than a month after launch, Apex Legends Mobile has reached 23 million players worldwide, and with tons of new content in the works, Coldsnap is just the start.
In addition to many important updates such as a new Battle Pass with unlockable items, this Season 1 update marks the addition of one of the most popular legends from the PC and console versions, the exclusive Thief Translocadora, Loba. A trailer was released today detailing the Coldsnap update:
Along with introducing the popular Loba to the Legends pool, the Apex Legends Mobile Coldsnap update will also introduce freezing weather when capturing a city. This Hammond-built lander, located right above the train station at the end of the world, can change the weather at certain points of interest, bringing early winter into the Apex Games (along with a new freeze grenade).
The climate control turns on and off during the match, which covers parts of the World’s Edge in snow and offers players some truly icy rewards. When the air conditioner is turned on, players can check their mini-map for frozen loot boxes to collect diamonds and buy rare items from the seasonal store. Diamonds can also be collected from fallen enemies, so… happy fragging!
Players can access Loba at Battle Pass tier 25 or unlock it in the store anytime starting this Thursday. And remember, in Apex Legends Mobile, progressing in Legends will bring new perks to Loba players, including the ability to capture player and female player banners.
