The second round of the Brazilian Rainbow Six Championship Siege 2022 starts on June 18 in full-time for teams, coaching staff and organizers. Ten teams return to take part in the modality’s most important national tournament, which allocates places for the Elite Six America’s Cup and the Brazil Cup, in addition to a total prize pool of Rs 500,000. The first stage ended with the leadership of W7M Esports – an unprecedented feat for the organization – and the world champion Ninjas in Pajamas in last place.
In addition to the Bulls, Team Liquid, Team oNe and FURIA Esports completed the first round in the top 4 of the competition and thus received places to participate in the America’s Elite Six Cup draw. Four Brazilian teams also managed to qualify for the Six Major Charlotte, with the North American DarkZero Esports as champions. The rest of BR6 competed in the Copa do Brasil, which ended with the first title of 00 Nation, the debut organization in the R6 scenario. In addition to them, four other teams are looking for the coveted Brasileirão 2022 trophy: FaZe Clan, MIBR, Black Dragons and INTZ.
After two seasons played online, the second round of BR6 will mark the return of the competition to face-to-face (LAN). All matches are played at the MAX Arena, the Grand Final stage of Brasileirão 2021, but this time without spectators. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, proof of vaccination of players, staff and staff will be required. The entire environment will be fully disinfected during the tournament and will follow the protocols set by the Ministry of Health.
The format of the competition follows the model adopted in the last round: the matches of the first stage will be held on Saturdays and Sundays, in the MD1 format, five matches per day. The final week of each round will still have Super Week in the competition, with games also taking place on a Friday.
The winning teams of each match are guaranteed three points, except for triumphs won in extra time, in which case the team that won best gets two points, while the losing team adds one point to the leaderboard. A draw in the tournament is not possible.
The Brasileirão 2022 final will take place in November and December. The four teams that have accumulated the most points throughout the championship will face each other in a simple knockout system – like “mata-mata” – to determine who will become the 2022 Brazilian champions. Elimination stages will go into MD3 and into the Grand Finals, the long-awaited clash in MD5.

André “Meligeni”, Ricardo “qeP” and Alexandre “Alezudu” are the narrators, while Otavio “Retaglia”, Victoria “Viich” and José “sSeiiya” are the commentators. The competitive scenario calendar of Brazilian teams is filled with several tournaments. Two stages have already been played on the 2022 women’s circuit, there will be three more stages during the year before the final stage, which will crown the best organization of the championship.
In 2022, the Copa Elite Six of America – “Libertadores do R6” – will have two more draws, always at the end of each Brasileirão round. The top four BR6s qualify for the continental tournament.
