Aliens: Dark Descent will pit you against hordes of xenomorphs

A new Aliens game from Focus Entertainment and Tindalos Interactive called Aliens: Dark Descent was announced at Summer Game Fest. The tense and atmospheric trailer sees a group of humans exploring a quiet, abandoned base that’s littered with rubble before engaging a pack of howling xenomorphs in a head-on fight.

The tone is definitely more Alien than Alien, with more weapons and an emphasis on action. A brief gameplay clip at the end of the trailer appears to show the game in a top-down isometric perspective, with four people standing against advancing hordes of aliens and acidic blood flowing from enemies as they fall. Focus Entertainment Twitter describes the game as a team action game where you have to fight to keep your team alive while fighting the alien threat.
