Valve revealed the top ten most popular Steam Deck games in May, and it’s no wonder they’ve all been reviewed. Although the portable powerhouse is capable of running both standalone and big-budget builds, it seems that most deck owners prefer playing the latter for longer on a portable device.

The storefront giant explains that four of the entries on the list were previously classified as “unsupported” or “playable,” suggesting that being “verified” has increased their popularity on handheld devices.
Valve’s list of the best Steam Deck games is in alphabetical order, but the Gaming on Linux YouTube channel has reorganized the list based on play time. Naturally, that gives us an idea of what everyone is playing in terms of genre and scope. Unsurprisingly, Elden Ring took the top spot last month, but much of the list includes some of the best indie games around.

The company also says it’s working to beef up Steam’s entire back catalog, so some of the best PC games could appear on the list in the coming months.
Steam Deck continues to evolve in the hands of PC gaming enthusiasts, and the release of the update brings together all the changes in SteamOS. Unfortunately, while Valve’s handheld device has been adorned with a bunch of new features, fan noise fixes, and tweaks, the company seems to have had trouble releasing the Steam Deck, with the accessory now delayed indefinitely.
