Battlestate Games has just announced Escape from Tarkov Arena, which turns out to be not the Escape from Tarkov location we’ve known and loved for a few years. It is a standalone game with more traditional multiplayer PvP sessions with all the “hard game mechanics” featured in Escape from Tarkov.
Unlike the raid-based gameplay of Escape from Tarkov, Arena is based on the more dynamic PvP matches you know from countless multiplayer FPS games over the last few decades. The setting remains the fictional city of Tarkov, where a mysterious group called the Masters of the Arena stage modern gladiatorial matches as a spectator sport.
battle status says Escape from Tarkov Arena will include PvP and PvE modes, unlockable weapons and gear, and the ability to play as your character from the main Escape from Tarkov game. The arenas look appropriately dystopian: there’s a heavily modified partial airliner body with tire and plywood barricades installed to create cover and cover, and a large airport concourse with urban training facilities set up along the floors and corridors. .
Here is the trailer:
Battlestate Games announces that Escape from Tarkov Arena will be free DLC for Escape from Tarkov Edge of Darkness Edition owners. For everyone else, it will be a separate purchase, but you won’t need to own a copy of Escape from Tarkov to play.
Escape from Tarkov Arena will start closed tests this year.
