Warzone 2’s second map “in development”, according to an insider

According to sources who spoke to trusted industry insider Tom Henderson, a second Warzone 2 map is “in development.” The Call of Duty Warzone 2 release date is still a long way off, but some details are already emerging. Henderson was told by playtesters of the battle royale sequel that the map was visible in the menu but not playable, as it was currently in the early stages of development.

Henderson says (via VGC) that map details are scant, but there is speculation that it resembles Warzone’s first spawn island in size. He says a source said Warzone 2’s release was targeted “a few months after MW2”: Modern Warfare 2’s release date is October, which means we could see Warzone 2 as soon as December 2022 or early 2020. 2023.
