Rat-killing cooperative game Vermintide 2 is getting another big free update this month, adding to the already substantial Chaos Wastes expansion that Fatshark added last year. The update, due out June 14, adds the Daemon Prince Be’lakor, who will influence players’ journeys through the Chaos Wastes in various evil ways.
Developer Fatshark discussed the upcoming Be’lakor expansion for Vermintide 2 during the Warhammer Skulls stream on June 1, and discussed some of the new features coming with the update. The Half-Halic in Chaos Wastes mode will receive several new gifts and traits, as well as several new enemies called Shadow Champions. Fatshark doesn’t say much about these opponents, but does note that “they don’t have warm or fuzzy feelings for the players.”
Be’lakor, who you may remember as the main antagonist of Total War: Warhammer III, also has a new level called “Temple of Shadows”, where the five (or four) Ubersreik “take the full power of Be”. lakor Be’lakor also features a new level theme and two new curses.
Here is the trailer:
You can purchase Vermintide 2 for 80% off during the Warhammer Skulls event on Steam.
