Sword
Hands down the best weapons in V Rising right now in both PvE and PvP are swords. Compared to other weapon types, Swords have a relatively short range and below average combo attack stats, but make up for it with high overall DPS thanks to flexible base attack speed.
You need to combine the abilities of Whirlwind and Shockwave for an effective hit and run strategy. The whirlwind spins you around for 1.1 seconds, dealing 35% of the equipped weapon’s Attack every 0.25 seconds. As for the Shockwave ability, any enemy hit by its blast takes 70% physical damage and is knocked into the air for 1.6 seconds. If he uses the ability again, he teleports to the target and hits them three times, dealing 25% physical damage per hit.

Axes can have a slightly slower attack speed than a sword, they are still one of the best weapons in V Rising with a very devastating combination of normal attacks. Your first ability, Frenzy, has you dash to deal 100% physical damage to an enemy. Hitting this attack goes into a frenzy, increasing your attack speed by 30% and movement speed by 25% for 0.8 seconds.

Tendon Swing is an ability that deals 125% physical damage to enemies, knocks them back, and inflicts Fading Snare for 2 seconds. Best used after ripping through a group of enemies with Howling Reaper, an ability that deals 20% physical damage every 0.25 seconds for 2.5 seconds. If you are hit by a projectile that appears when the ability is activated, it also slows enemies for 1.5 seconds. If things get a little tricky, you can use Slasher’s second ability, Elusive Strike, to dash in and deal 60% physical damage to enemies, as well as create a 2 second slow on hit.
Crossbow
Each crossbow shot deals 110% physical damage, making it V Rising’s strongest normal attack. It’s a shame that each melee weapon is far superior to the crossbow, as its projectiles are easy for enemies to dodge and the reload speed is incredibly slow.

V Rising Unique Weapon
There is only one unique V-lift weapon in the game, the General’s Soul Reaper. To get this reaper, you need to kill a mini-boss called the Undead Commander. This enemy spawns in various places in Danli Farms, namely the Church of the Damned and the Haunted Iron Mine, and you’ll need to craft it to get an item called the General’s Soul Reaper Orb. To craft it, bring this orb to your forge along with 3 Mystones, 3 Greater Blood Essence, 18 Iron Ingots, 12 Planks, and 90 Gems.
How would we rate it? Well, the gear level means it’s not suitable for late-game PvE, but it can be a powerful asset for PvP.
